Leger: Woodpecker

Part of the Artists & Animal series, this acorn woodpecker was painted in the style of Fernand Leger.  Leger simplified objects down to basic geometric shapes and forms to build his paintings of people and still-lifes. These woodpeckers borrow his use of bold outlines, bright colors and simplified forms.
