Miró: Lemurs

Original, hand-painted in watercolor, gouache and india ink on acid-free watercolor paper.

Part of the Artist & Animal series these lemurs were painted in the style of Joan Miró. Ring tailed lemurs live in family groups and are often found playing with each other.   Given the simplified and childlike style Miro the lemurs seemed to be a perfect fit to have some fun floating in the playful patterns and shapes.
