On Fire

Original, hand painted in gouache on acid-free illustration board.

This was the first in my “Succulents & Cacti” series.  The patterns, line work and colors are more subtle than the others in this series.  The form of this cactus in real life reminds me of a small campfire, hence the color choices and name.
